Immune booster foods can be purchased or prepared at home. They can simply be used as salad top dressing or probably blended directly in to the food. There are quite a number of vegetables that offer excellent immune support.

Carrots and green leafy vegetables are excellent immune boosters and this could be attributed to the fact that they contain beta carotene. These vegetables protect and strengthen the immune system. There also increase on the white cells in the body which are vital in fighting off diseases.

Yoghurt is a very effective immune booster as it strengthens the anti bodies in the system. Yoghurt also has the ability of destroying harmful bacteria and any other germs in the body. Yoghurt consumption on a daily basis can have a great effect on one’s immune system.

Kales contain Vitamin A which is a very essential immune booster. The kales have got a high level of anti oxidants that assist in fighting diseases and thus essential in keeping tabs of the white blood cells. It is advisable to eat this vegetable on a daily basis. Garlic on the other hand is very effective in fighting the common cold and flu’s. Garlic also has blood thinning effects that prevent the chances of blood clots.

Immune system supplements are also available to boost the immune system. It is recommended that one should seek the doctor’s advice before commencing on taking supplements. Some of the supplements for the immune system listed as below.

1) Oleander extract:

It consists of the astragalus root which helps to increase the white blood cells and protect against potential invaders.

2) Zinc

It is suitable for general beauty and decreasing the flu and colds. It is a great immune booster. This supplement can be used on a daily basis.


3) Vitamin C

Vitamin C is found in very many products. One needs to consider the quantity of Vitamin C available in the supplement. In case it is too much it mat end up causing stomach discomforts.

4) Selenium

Selenium is essential for blood circulation.

5) Siberian ginseng and Asian ginseng

These are suitable for blood pressure conditions and one should be careful as they use it because it does not integrate with other types of medicine.
