An Honest Review Of Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung phones are known worldwide for being a high quality, long-lasting mobile communication gadget. The phones are products of the Samsung Electronics, which is a South Korean company of information technology and electronics. It has sales networks and assembly plants in over 65 nations across the globe. The company has been in the forefront in the manufacture of Smartphones. One of the most popular Smartphones in the list of Samsung phones is the Samsung Galaxy S. The phone was released on March of 2010, becoming an instant success with the sale of 10 million phones so far.
With the Samsung Galaxy S having a thickness of only 9mm and measuring only 64 x 122mm, the most noticeable thing about the phone is that it is very light, weighing a mere 118 grams. This has a lot to do with the kind of material that has been used. Instead of going for glass or machined aluminum, the manufacturers used plastics. Due to the use of the material, the phone has lost that premium feel. At the back, it has a camera of 5 mega pixels, detailed with a chrome frame. It provides grip for the fingers when you hold it in a landscape position to take photos or to watch videos.
The front finish is quite nice, with a capacitive 4-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 and a display of Super AMOLED. The screen has a silky smoothness which makes it easy to wipe clean traces of oily fingerprints. Around the phone’s body, you will find a 3.5 mm audio port and a micro USB connection on top. You will also see a volume rocker placed on the left hand side and to the right of the phone is a standby or lock key.
The Samsung Galaxy S has HTC Desire and rounded edges, which make it a more comfortable gadget to hold in your palm, making it suitable for long calls. When it comes to the internal memory of the phone, the Samsung Galaxy S comes in two versions – an 8GB or 16GB internal memory with a micro SD card for expansion of up to 16 GB. The phone comes with a 1GHz processor, which is more than enough to ensure things are running smoothly. This is the most common processor in many Smartphones, although there are also several different versions.
